Welcome to Find Local RVA, a program of InUnison of Central Virginia (“Find Local RVA,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Find Local RVA website at www.findlocalrva.com, any subdomains, and all features, listings, services, and tools provided through the platform (collectively, the “Site”).
By using the Site, creating an account, submitting a business listing, or participating in any Find Local RVA programs, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Find Local RVA
Find Local RVA is a community-driven platform created by InUnison to discover, support, and promote locally owned, independent businesses across Greater Richmond. We provide directory listings, local promotions, digital tools, and community-building initiatives to help residents and businesses connect locally.
Find Local RVA is designed for both consumers and independent business owners.
2. Accounts & Business Listings
Users may browse the directory without creating an account. Business owners may create an account or submit a listing to access business features, promotions, and profile tools.
Some features may require a current InUnison membership.
Cancelling Listings or Accounts
You may request removal of your business listing or account at any time by contacting [email protected].
We reserve the right to limit or remove directory listings or accounts that:
- Do not meet the criteria for a locally owned independent business
- Violate these Terms
- Provide false or misleading information
- Act in conflict with the mission of supporting the local independent business community
3. User Responsibilities
By using this Site, you agree to:
- Use the platform for lawful and appropriate purposes
- Provide accurate and current information
- Honor local-business participation requirements for business listings
- Maintain the security of your login credentials
We may suspend access for violations including:
- Fraudulent, inaccurate, or harmful content
- Harassment of other users or businesses
- Spam, solicitations, or disruptive activity
- Use of the directory for scraping or competitive data collection
4. Business Listings & User-Generated Content
Business owners retain ownership of information submitted for listings.
By submitting business information, you grant Find Local RVA permission to:
- Display your listing publicly
- Feature your business in promotional materials, emails, or social media (directory content only — not private community content)
We will not use private communications or community-only content for marketing without consent.
You agree not to upload, share, or link to content that infringes on copyrights, contains harmful material, or violates local, state, or federal laws.
5. Community Standards
We support a positive, helpful, local-first community. Users must uphold:
- Professional, respectful communication
- No spam or unsolicited sales tactics
- Honest representation of business information
- Respect for other users and the mission of supporting local business
Violations may result in removal of content or user access.
6. Events & Media Use
By participating in Find Local RVA or InUnison events, you agree:
- Photos and recordings may occur
- Your likeness or business may be used in promotional content for Find Local RVA & InUnison
If you prefer not to be photographed, notify [email protected] in advance or speak to a staff member onsite.
7. Payments & Security
Find Local RVA does not collect or store payment information directly. When payments apply (e.g., InUnison membership), they are processed securely through third-party providers (such as MemberPress, Stripe, or ActiveCampaign).
The Site is hosted on WP Engine for security and stability.
8. Privacy
We value your privacy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how data is collected and used.
9. Third-Party Services
We use trusted services to operate the platform, including:
- WordPress & MemberPress — website and account tools
- ActiveCampaign — communications and email
- Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, AmpID — website analytics and advertising
Your use of the Site may also be subject to their respective terms.
10. Disclaimers
Find Local RVA aims to provide accurate information, but we do not guarantee the accuracy of business listings or third-party content.
We may modify or discontinue Site features at any time.
Access may be interrupted due to maintenance or technical issues.
